Update on 9 February: One of the keynote speakers has changed, and the official poster and schedule are now available below.

This one day forum showcases the ongoing research of all Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI) members, and is an opportunity to explore the breadth of ABI activities. In line with the Medical Technologies Centre of Research Excellence (MedTech CoRE) objectives, the topic for this 2016 forum is “Moving Innovation into Practice”. It will feature keynotes by Callaghan Innovation team leader for Assistive Devices Dr Marcus King and NIHI programme leader in health informatics and technology Associate Professor Robyn Whittaker. In addition, the day will feature an address by the Director of the ABI, Peter Hunter, poster and short oral presentations by all ABI students and post-doctoral researchers, and an expert panel discussion on the challenges facing clinical uptake of medical technology.

A selection of poster topics will be invited for a “2-minute thesis” style oral presentation on the day of the Forum. There will be cash prizes for best talk and best poster.

The ABI looks forward to hosting a great day of inspiration, research, and collaboration.
