About the Speaker

Chris graduated with a BSc from the University of Sheffield in the UK, followed by a PhD in Cell Biology at Sheffield's Medical School in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. After a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine there he stepped into industry for five years, initially as a Senior Scientist then as Product Development Manager for Leica-Microsystem, followed by Molecular Devices. In 2013, he was recruited back to the Chinese Academy of Sciences under the “100 Talents” scheme, and took up a chair in Applied Stem Cell Automation Research at the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health.
