MedTech Talks by the Auckland Bioengineering Institute is a series of talks to inform and showcase the latest developments of our research to the public. In this latest talk in the series, we will be focusing on women’s health – issues that every woman should be aware of.

Although taboos around women’s health issues should be extinct by now, there is still some sensitivity in discussing gynecological matters. It is now time to air out our linen when it comes to “women’s problems.” Often when we encounter such problems, they are either swept under the carpet or talked about with shame.

Each human body is unique and therefore matters that involve our health will also have a unique outcome. Only when we learn about these unique matters can we be empowered to take control of our health. Technology and research that is currently ongoing is ready to provide you with tried and tested solutions to help you keep track of your health. This is what our women bioengineers and their clinical partner will be talking to you about - their research on women’s health issues and the barriers in women communicating their health issues.

Come to our talk and learn more today – why not educate yourself, start talking and empower yourself?
