(Conferences Symposia)

08 April 2015 - 10 April 2015

Venue: ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, Auckland, New Zealand

The workshop will focus on computational modelling in conjunction with experimental and clinical studies of cardiac physiology disease. Sessions will cover molecular to whole-organ cardiac function and the Physiome Project. We have outstanding Plenary Lectures scheduled for each of the four primary themes of the main workshop, and session speakers are internationally established leaders in the field.

Theme 1 - Cardiac Mechanics

Plenary speaker: Professor Andrew McCulloch, University of California, San Diego

Theme 2 - Development and Tissue Remodelling

Plenary speaker: Professor Sally Dunwoodie, Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute

Theme 3 - Cell and Molecular Processes

Plenary speaker: Professor Dame Carol Robinson, University of Oxford

Theme 4 - Cardiac Electrophysiology

Plenary speaker: Professor Bruce Smaill, University of Auckland

The meeting is sponsored by the Auckland Bioengineering Institute and the MedTech Centre of Research Excellence, and follows successful meetings in Bar Harbor (2013), San Diego (2012 and 2005), Oxford (2011 and 2006), Cambridge (2009), and Auckland (2008).
