Auckland Bioengineering Institute

Our Institute

The Auckland Bioengineering Institute was established in 2001 as a cross-faculty research institute dealing with the application of the mathematical and engineering sciences to biology generally, and human physiology in particular.

We now have over 170 staff and students, and our alumni are spread across the world.

We enjoy close ties with the faculties of Engineering, and Medical and Health Sciences, and have strong research collaborations nationally and internationally with a broad range of universities and research institutes.
