Auckland Bioengineering Institute

Meet some of the alumni of the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. Find out what they did while they were with us, and what they did next.

Tom Lintern

Thomas Lintern with a rig designed to simulate the effects of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Now a Management Consultant with Deloitte, Tom's research focused on modelling infant head kinematics in abusive head trauma, and he completed his PhD in 2014.

John Davidson

PhD candidate John Davidson in the Bioinstrumentation Lab

John completed his PhD in 2009 and is now a Research Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia. His research focused on creating a model which could be used to predict the response of muscle to a variety of inputs, like Functional Electrical Stimulation, a rehabilitation technique which can be used to activate muscles no longer under full nervous control.
