Postdoctoral Researcher at IHU LIRYC.

Profile

Laura Bear received a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) specialising in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Auckland in 2009. In 2010 she began her doctorate with the Auckland Bioengineering Institute.

Her research project consists of computing body surface potentials from potential distributions on the heart surface (the forward problem) and reconstructing cardiac electrophysiology from remote body surface measurements (the inverse problem). The solution to this inverse problem has clinical relevance since it permits the interpretation of the underlying cardiac events using non-invasive techniques.

Laura is now a Postdoctoral Researcher at IHU LIRYC.
