Unravelling the influence of fibrosis in arrhythmogenesis and sudden cardiac death
Fibrosis is a significant component of cardiac remodelling in heart failure. However, such remodelling has not been fully quantified across a range of scales and the functional impacts on arrhythmogenesis and sudden cardiac death are still poorly understood. Prashanna’s PhD incorporates experimental and imaging models to help elucidate the relationships between fibrotic 3D tissue architecture and its effects on electrical activation.
