Win obtained her basic medical degree from the University of Medicine 1, Myanmar and was awarded her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She commenced her PhD at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute in January 2015.
Win chose to pursue bioengineering because of its ability bridge the fields of medicine and engineering, to provide a better and more efficient health care to patients through the development of novel technologies.

The roles of oxygen and shear stress in placental vascular development
The aim of the project is to understand how the shear stress affects the growth of the placental vasculature and how the changes in the oxygen distribution seen in early pregnancy affect placental vascular development.
