Profile
Ellyce Stehlin received a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Auckland in 2009, and in 2010 began a PhD at The Auckland Bioengineering Institute.
Her research project involves developing an implantable pressure sensor for chronic use in the clinical setting. Particular applications include the monitoring of intracranial pressure in children with hydrocephalus, and monitoring pressures in the heart in patients with heart failure. The research is part of the wireless medical device group, which develops miniature implantable sensor systems.
