Commercial activities
UnEmap System and the former Telemetry Research are commercial entities which have developed from the institute's innovative research programme.
Telemetry Research provided wireless implantable devices for monitoring and collecting physiological data. In November 2011, Telemetry Research merged with Millar Instruments, a US-based company which develops innovative catheter-based, sensing technology used in clinical diagnosis and medical research.
UnEmap is a hardware and software system which provides high quality, multi-channel recording of electrophysiological events.
The Auckland Bioengineering Institute works with Auckland UniServices Limited on intellectual property, licencing agreements and consultancy services, and with The ICEHOUSE for new business incubation activities.
