Profile
Jesse received BE and ME degrees in Bioengineering from The University of Auckland, gaining first class honours in both. For his ME thesis he investigated the effects of cardiac laminar structure on the efficacy of defibrillation strength electric shocks for abolishing cardiac arrhythmias.
Since the beginning of 2010, Jesse has been a doctoral candidate in the cardiac electrophysiology research group. His research is focussed on characterising the 3D neural architecture of the atrium and elucidating the role structural and neural remodelling plays in promoting the development and maintenance of atrial arrhythmias in heart failure.
