Profile
Tim Angeli received a BSE in biomedical engineering in 2008 and an MSE in biomedical engineering in 2009, both from the University of Michigan. He investigated innovative methods of drug delivery for his MSE research, and also worked at a biotechnology company where he was involved in the research and development of an artificial kidney.
Tim joined the Auckland Bioengineering Institute as a PhD student in 2009 where he is a member of the Gastrointestinal (GI) group. His research is focused on investigating the electrical activity of the GI tract in high resolution. Specifically, he is mapping the electrical activity of the stomach and small intestine in high spaciotemporal resolution, in both healthy and diseased states. He is also involved in the development of novel devices for recording the electrical activity of the GI tract.
